Beginners Woodworking: Make a Chopping / Serving Board

65.00

Join us for a one day beginners woodworking course to make a personalised chopping or serving board.

In this beginners woodwork course, students will learn how to make either a cutting or serving board. You will work alongside Richard who holds a level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in Furniture making and Joinery. Richard teaches the course himself and there are never more than six students to ensure he can provide individual tuition.

You'll learn how to safely and confidently use various machinery and hand tools in the workshop, including the mitre saw, band saw, drill press and sanders - with the possibility of the table saw, jointer and planer.

There will be an option to personalise the boards if you are making one for a gift. At the end of the day expect to take home with you a board that's useful and takes pride of place in your kitchen.

An apron, materials and tools will be provided for you on the course but we suggest wearing old clothes.

We look forward to seeing you at our workshop!
